Bacon Wrapped Dates Stuffed with Gorgonzola
If you ever need an appetizer that will win over new friends, this is it. Bacon wrapped dates stuffed with gorgonzola, topped with balsamic glaze…sweet, salty, umami…all the things, completely irresistible. Classics exist for a reason, they are time tried and true, generationally appreciated.
Ingredients
- 1 pound pitted dates
- 4 ounces gorgonzola
- 1 pound sliced bacon (not thick cut)
- drizzle of balsamic glaze, I use Delallo brand
Directions
- Preheat oven to 375 F
- Most dates are precut, if not, cut dates on one side and stuff with gorgonzola and press together to close.
- Wrap dates with bacon and secure with a toothpick
- Bake in oven until bacon is crisp, turning the dates after the first 20 minutes for even cooking
- Allow to cool and drizzle with balsamic glaze before serving
