Lamb Burgers with Harissa Aioli
Want to spice up your burger game? Try these lamb burgers for a little international flare! Delicious on brioche buns and a perfect pairing with our 2016 Mourvèdre, serve chilled.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup mayonaisse
- 4 teaspoons harissa
- 1 large garlic clove, chopped fine
- 1 1/3 pounds of freshly ground lamb
- 4 brioche buns
- 2 ounces feta cheese
- 2 cups baby arugula
- 3/4 cup caramelized onions
- 4 slices tomato
- salt and pepper to taste
Directions
- Mix first 3 ingredients and set aside.
- Heat a cast iron skillet over medium heat until hot.
- Divide ground lamb evenly and form 4 burger patties, season both sides with salt and pepper.
- Sear burgers on each side for 5 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 160 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Slather bottoms of each bun with aioli and top with burger, feta, tomato, caramelized onions, and arugula, Serve.
